During a training exercise Sgt. First Class Henry Poolman, the readiness non-commissioned officer for the 928th Medical Company Area Support, based out of Fort Carson, Colorado, hand over the ‘remains’ of a ‘fallen’ Soldier to Sgt. Daniel Chacon, a Personnel and Receiving Processing team member based out of Smyrna, Georgia. Poolman a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Chacon a resident of Lawrence, Georgia are both at Camp Grayling, Michigan, performing their annual training during Northern Strike 19. Northern Strike 19 is a National Guard Bureau sponsored joint, accredited exercise that provides accessible, readiness-building opportunities for units from all services to achieve or sustain proficiency in conduction mission command, air, sea and ground maneuver integration, and the synchronization of fires in a joint, multinational, decisive action and major combat operations environment that is scalable to unit resource levels.
