190630-N-JN023-1011 ROTA, Spain (June 30, 2019) Doug Hasselbring, Morale, Welfare and Recreation community recreation director for Naval Station Rota, briefs the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge senior leadership during Kearsarge's port visit to Rota. Naval Station Rota sustains the fleet, enables the fighter and supports the family by conducting air operations, port operations, ensuring security and safety, assuring quality of life and providing the core services of power, water, fuel and information technology. Kearsarge is deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners as well as U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
