Shannon Johnson, Naval Hospital Bremerton commanding officer, and Ensign Erwin Roces, assigned to NHB, represent the most seasoned and junior of their corps during the traditional cake cutting at the 72nd birthday of the Medical Service Corps (MSC) at NHB Aug. 6, 2019. The MSC, officially established Aug. 4, 1947, is comprised of health care administrators, clinicians and scientists trained and focused on ensuring warfighter's medical readiness, whenever and wherever they are called upon. NHB supports more than 60,000 military families in West Puget Sound, shaping military medicine through training, mentoring and research to ensure a ready medical force and operationally ready force.
