U.S. Navy Equipment Operator 2nd Class Thomas Dahlke, Seabee with Construction Diving Detachment Charlie (CDDC) from Underwater Construction Team 2, rigs a wire pennant in the preparation of sinking the single anchor leg mooring (SALM). The SALM is part of OPDS, designed as a semi-permanent delivery system that provides large volume of refined petroleum to service components over a sustained period of time. Underwater Construction Team One and Underwater Construction Team Two attended the three week OPDS Technical Trainer at the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific in preparation of an upcoming 3rd Fleet Joint Logistics Over The Shore Exercise.
