(Aug. 7, 2019) Dr. Michael Simpson, director of education and workforce at the Office of Naval Research (ONR), moderates a panel of former National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellows during the first annual NDSEG conference in San Diego, California. The NDSEG Fellowship is sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, the Army Research Office, and ONR under the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Since 1989, NDSEG has awarded nearly 3,600 fellowships to U.S. citizens and nationals who pursue a doctoral degree in one of fifteen supported disciplines at a U.S. institution of their choosing.
