A Soldier assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Armored Division watches as a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter prepares to land during an advise and assistance mission Aug 4 in southeastern Afghanistan. Elements of the 1st Armored Division's headquarters deployed in July and August out of Fort Bliss, Texas for Operation Resolution Support and Freedom Sentinel in support of Afghan and Coalition partners. Resolute Support is a NATO-led, non-combat mission to train, advise and assist the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF).
