Paratroopers with 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment (Airborne) got to test CH-47 Chinook capabilities by sling loading their newest vehicle the Army Ground Mobility Vehicle (AGMV). This testing helped their leadership to better understand how they will be able to move the vehicles, max weight and future employment measures. It wasn't just sling loading; they also loaded an AGMV inside the aircraft; as well as, sling loading another vehicle to see what the limitations for employment look like at Grafenwoehr Training Area August 16, 2019. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army’s Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States Europe, Africa and Central Commands areas of responsibilities. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
