Col. Thomas Sherman, 88th Air Base Wing and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base installation commander, administers the oath of enlistment Aug. 9, 2019, with Chief Master Sgt. Stephen Arbona, 88th ABW command chief, at his side, to new Airmen joining the Air Force in the Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati, prior to a Reds-Cubs baseball game. The event was part of the annual Reds military appreciation night which included a recognition of hometown heroes, the Air Force Band of Flight performing the national anthem and Sherman tossing out the ceremonial first pitch.
