Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Stuebbe, manager of the 628th Logistics Readiness Squadron’s Forward Area Refueling Point (FARP) program, holds a refueling hose over his shoulder during a demonstration July 22, 2019, at Joint Base Charleston S.C. The FARP program consists of specialized mobility Airmen who provides extensive fuels capability knowledge in theater and in garrison to various rotary and fixed wing aircraft. Stuebbe was recognized as one of the Air Force’s 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year. Stuebbe earned the accolade for his efforts in Afghanistan where he established a refueling point for rotary aircraft in inclement weather conditions with limited visibility that contributed to the successful deterrence of a “high-value target” and six other combatants.
