Bailey Wright, a Pen Argyl, Pa. native assigned to the 108th Area Support Medical Company, 213th Regional Support Group, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, holds a thick square of “skin” that she sutured to simulate giving sutures to her patient during her company’s field training exercise (FTX) at the Sustainment Training Center (STC) at Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center in Johnston, Iowa Aug. 14, 2019. Wright treated a patient with a head wound at the Role 2 medical treatment facility and switched over to the skin simulation when the time came during the treatment to perform the sutures.
