Members of the 108th Area Support Medical Company, 213th Regional Support Group, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, move quickly within the Role 2 medical treatment facility (MTF) during a mass casualty (MASCAL) scenario near the end of their company’s field training exercise (FTX) at the Sustainment Training Center (STC) at Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center in Johnston, Iowa Aug. 14, 2019. The MASCAL was a scenario in which a massive explosion occurred outside of the Role 2 MTF, which tested the medical company’s operational ability while they were overwhelmed with a slew of trauma patients in a short amount of time.
