James "Borg" Borghardt, left, commanding officer, Office of Naval Research Global (ONRG) and Dr. Patricia Gruber, technical director, ONRG, while joined by Álvaro Luís de Souza Alves Pinto, the technical superintendent of the Centro Tecnológico da Marinha no Rio de Janeiro (CTMRJ) —a military research and development center of the Brazilian Navy. The tour of CTMRJ and IPqM is the first stop for ONR Global leadership, who are currently visiting the region to strengthen scientific connections between the U.S. and Latin American.
