190817-N-YB023-0290 SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. (Aug. 17, 2019) Chief petty officers and chief petty officer selectees assigned to various commands at Naval Station Everett lay down gravel and water at the base of a newly erected flag pole at the site of the Oso landslide. The pole and flag-raising ceremony were in memorial to the landslide that occurred in 2014 and covered a 1-square-mile area in a rural community about 55 miles northeast of Seattle.
