(Aug. 17, 2019) Chief petty officers and chief petty officer selectees assigned to various commands at Naval Station Everett lay down gravel and water at the base of a newly erected flag pole at the site of the Oso landslide. The pole and flag-raising ceremony were in memorial to the landslide that occurred in 2014 and covered a 1-square-mile area in a rural community about 55 miles northeast of Seattle.
