There are 39 future chief petty officers living aboard the Battleship Missouri Memorial for Chief Petty Officer Legacy Academy. The Battleship Missouri Memorial Chief Petty Officer Legacy Academy is one of several live-aboard chief petty officer legacy academies around the Navy. These legacy academies provide an opportunity for Sailors selected to become chief petty officers to live Navy heritage.
