Michael Rovenolt, Commander, Carrier Air Wing 5, steps down from an F/A-18E Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 27, after landing on the flight deck of the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during flight operations. This landing marks Rovenolt’s 1,000th carrier arrested landing or trap. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
