NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY DEVESELU, Romania (June 4, 2019) - Media were invited to speak with senior U.S. and Romanian military officials about the integration of the Terminal High Altitude Air Defense System (THAAD) at Naval Support Facility Deveselu (NSFD) June 4, 2019. Adelin Petrișor(center) interviews Romanian Col. Răzvan Brătulescu(left), commander of the 99th Military Base, and is a special correspondent for Romanian public television and has reported from Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Israel, Algeria, Albania, Egypt, Libya and other war zones. The THAAD system arrived to Romania in early May and provided temporary support of NATO's ballistic missile defense during a scheduled software and maintenance upgrades of the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System located in southern Romania.
