Sgt. 1st Class Mark Islas (foreground), bandleader for the 56th Army Band's big band/swing group, Swingin' Sounds of Courage, out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., marches more than 20 members of the 56th Army Band through downtown Eureka, Calif., April 28, during the northern California coastal town's annual Rhododendron Parade as part of a visit there April 26-29. Musicians with Swingin' Sounds of Courage and the bandâ's heavy rock ensemble, Heavy Left, also played two separate shows at Eureka High School, April 27.
