(Aug. 21, 2019) Information Systems Technician 1st Class Jose Jones, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), speaks about his experience on 9/11 while living in New York City during a visit to the Bremerton 9/11 Memorial while participating in the USS Turner Joy Legacy Academy. The USS Turner Joy Legacy Academy is a weeklong program comprised of chief petty officer selects from around the Northwest that is meant to inform its attendees about Navy heritage and mentorship as well as strengthen their bond to the community.
