Soldiers from the 836th Engineer Company use a SKED litter during search and extraction operations at the collective training exercise at the Govalle Water Treatment Facility in Austin, Texas, April 26-27, 2012. The SKED stretcher is a compact, lightweight and versatile litter designed for confined spaces, technical and high angle rescue, as well as traditional land based applications. This exercise helps Joint Task Force 71 maintain readiness to conduct the Homeland Response Force mission throughout FEMA Region 6.
