190818-M-ET529-1034 CAMP BUEHRING, KUWAIT (Aug. 18, 2019) Marines assigned to India Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/5, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion (Mechanized), 8th Infantry Regiment, prepare to fires M1A1 Abrams main gun and an M2 Bradley fighting vehicle. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and 11th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
