U.S. Army Col. T.J. Jamison, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade commander, of Broken Arrow, Okla., awards U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Clifford Shaw, of Melbourne, Fla., the Army Commendation medal with "V" device for valor. Shaw and three other Task Force Saber, 82nd Combat Aviation Bridade Kiowa Warrior pilots saved an Afghan National Army convoy that had been ambushed and was under heavy enemy fire. They put themselves close to the enemy in a steep valley, performing difficult maneuvers to save the Afghan soldiers pinned down in their vehicles.
