An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22, flown by Cmdr. David Montgomery, assigned to Carrier Air Wing 17, and VFA-22's Commanding Officer Cmdr. Fernando Garcia makes an arrested recovery on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The recovery was Garcia's 1000th carrier landing.
