Fresno Air National Guard Base, Calif.— In preparation for a routine flying mission, a crew chief from the 144th Maintenance Squadron removes chalks from an F-15 Eagle as the pilot completes operational checks Aug. 14, 2019. These operational checks occur before each flight in preparation for take off. Routine flying operations help 144th Fighter Wing pilots keep their skills sharp and to maintain required flight hours.
