SAN DIEGO - Blood donor center (BDC) volunteers pose for a group photo after an appreciation event at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Aug. 28. The BDC’s event honored contributions made by more than 20 command blood donor coordinators and support personnel at Navy and Marine Corps bases throughout San Diego County. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver quality healthcare services and share the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in the San Diego region to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
