(Aug. 29, 2019) Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Jesse Gomez, left, a native of Lodi, California and Gunner’s Mate Seaman Michael Kim, a native of Moreno Valley, California, both assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111), pet sting rays at the Aquarium of the Pacific during the fourth annual Los Angeles Fleet Week (LAFW). LAFW is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas.
