190903-N-UP025-071 ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Sep. 3, 2019) Electronics Technician 1st Class Nigel Brown, attached to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Mobile Unit One, conducts high-frequency radio communications from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit One operating over 2,000 miles away in Adak, Alaska during Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group One is testing a variety of communications to prepare for operating in austere environments supporting EOD forces in eliminating explosive threats.
