U.S. Army Spc. Klaryssa Vincent, explains how welcome she felt training with soldiers from other units at a ceremony where she and her peers are being recognized by U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Abernathy, command sergeant major of U.S. Army Europe, for completing the 2019 Nijmegen Marches earlier this year, Sept. 4, 2019, on Clay Kaserne, Germany. Vincent would go on to say that she injured herself while training bad enough to need stitches on her face, but never gave up. "It was difficult, but it wasn’t impossible," she said.
