A Tropospheric Scatter Microwave Radio Terminal (TRC-170) from the 31st Combat Communication Squadron, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is positioned in a field during an exercise here May 1, 2012. During the exercise Airmen from the 31st and 34th CCS assembled two TRC-170s, which transmitted a signal to Tinker AFB to test the range of the system. The exercise took place April 30 through May 4.
