Cmdr. Robert Olson, Contracts Director, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East (NAVFAC), Capt. Rich Jarrett, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) commanding officer, along with construction managers, and Sailors officially reopen the Transient Personnel Unit (TPU) barracks during a ribbon cutting ceremony following an 18-month, $14.2 million renovation of the facility. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
