190911-N-KH151-0055 NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (September 11, 2019) Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, Spain, welcomed the Damas del Rosario for a base tour. The participants began the tour with a visit to the Spanish aircraft flotilla and the Spanish frigate Navarra (F 85), followed by a visit to David Glasgow Farragut high school, a tour of a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III and a lunch hosted by the Spanish and U.S. navies during which they were greeted by Spanish Navy Captain, Enrique Flethes, and Capt. David Baird, NAVSTA Rota, Spain’s commanding officer. NAVSTA Rota sustains the fleet, enables the fighter and supports the family by conducting air operations, port operations, ensuring security and safety, assuring quality of life and providing the core services of power, water, fuel and information technology.
