190914-N-LC749-0231 SAN DIEGO (Sept. 14, 2019) Chief petty officers (CPO) scream “Hooyah Navy!” after the FY19 chief petty officer pinning ceremony conducted in the Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (57) hangar bay on Naval Air Station North Island on September 14, 2019. The CPO pinning ceremony is a ceremony where newly promoted CPOs have their new rank insignia pinned on their uniforms. This event is the culmination of an intense six-week training period where the Navy's senior enlisted leaders introduced the CPO selectees to a set of challenges designed to strengthen their leadership and mentoring abilities.
