An air-attack airplane belonging to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) provides reconnaissance and ground-communications capability while flying over Fort McCoy’s Range 29 on April 12, 2016, as part of fire-suppression training. Personnel with the Fot McCoy Fire Department, the Directorate of Public Works Natural Resources Branch, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and aircrew and Blackhawk helicopters with the 1st Battalion, 147th Aviation Regiment of Madison, Wis., participated in fire training at the range during the prescribed burn.
