The checkpoint serves as a boundary between Government of Iraq and Kurdistan Regional Government and a security screening area to prevent Daesh freedom of movement. Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve remains united and determined in its mission to degrade and defeat Daesh and continue to work with allies and partners to implement stabilization efforts.
