U.S. Army Active Duty Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Task Force Hammer, 77th Sustainment Brigade train with the ARCENT Readiness Training Center's (ARTC) High Mobility Multi Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Egress Assistance Trainer (HEAT) while deployed to Camp Buehring, Kuwait September 12, 2019. This unit led, contractor supported training fulfills the yearly requirement for drivers and truck commanders to rehearse roll-over procedures. Soldiers, wearing Army Combat Helmets (ACH), ballistic eye-protection, and Improvised Outer Tactical Vests (IOTVs), worked in teams of five to nine, to safely secure the vehicle's gunner, brace for roll-over, secure sensitive items, exfil the vehicle upside down, set up security, and call in a nine-line medevac. Soldiers trained on the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) and Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) platforms, preparing for full-spectrum operations across the CENTCOM AOR.
