Marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit heave a line aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) during a connected replenishment with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Kanawha (T-AO 196). New York, and its embarked Marines is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
