A farmer takes a break to watch a soldier from the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps' 304th Battalion walk past his field April 16. A platoon from the 304th Bn. helped American Soldiers from Company D, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment , sweep an area in Baghdad's Al Rashid District for anti-Coalition insurgents and weapons.
The previous night insurgents ambushed an American patrol with a Rocket Propelled Grenade. The American's returned fire but don't know if they it anyone. One Soldier was hurt but later returned to duty.
