Master Sgt. Tony Karpenko, 647th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels flight, and his wife Michele, speak to Petty Officer 2nd Class Tim Moss and Seaman Scott Meyer, Pearl Harbor harbor patrolmen, during Operation ENLIGHTEN II, May 9, where Airmen and sailors went to more than 2,000 homes to hand out information about safety and security. In response to a rash of crimes ranging from petty theft to grand larceny, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam officials engaged residents in the anti-crime campaign. More than 120 volunteers went door to door during the blitz event.
