U.S. Air Force basic military training trainees prepare to accomplish a two-mile stretch during Basic Expeditionary Airman Skills Training (BEAST) course known as the Warrior’s March Sept. 20, 2019, at Joint Base San Antonio-Medina Annex, Texas. The Warrior’s March was a concept created by Master Sgt. Brian Garcia in Aug. 2018. BEAST course simulates field training operations that objectives the trainee has throughout the previous weeks of training. Each week over 600 trainees arrive at BEAST to learn how to operate in a simulated deployed environment. Trainees learn basic site defense and how to operate as a team. Trainees utilize problem solving steps and work collectively to successfully accomplish objectives in an instructor lead environment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Sarayuth Pinthong)
