Staff Sgt. Keith Soares, 102nd Security Forces Squadron, scans his sector for potential threats as his fellow squad members follow behind him in tactical formation during the dismounted patrol portion of their annual combat readiness task training on Otis Air National Guard Base, May 7, 2012. The 102 SFS defenders were tasked with locating and navigating their way to five checkpoints on Otis ANGB while moving tactically in formations. The 102 SFS defenders spent the day honing their skills in areas such as convoy operations and dismounted patrol procedures in order to keep their proficiency at a high level.
