Cpl. Matthew Steigerwald, a scout sniper with Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and native of Grafton Township, Ohio, explains the characteristics of various weapons to a member of the Royal Saudi Arabian Navy May 8, 2012, in the hangar of USS Iwo Jima. Steigerwald and his fellow Marines set up a static display during a reception aboard the ship to showcase weapons and equipment to members of various consulates and Royal Saudi Arabian military. The 24th MEU is deployed with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group to the U.S. Fifth Fleet area of operations serving as a theater reserve and crisis response force.
