U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 19.2 and 20.1, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, assess the blast damage during an advanced-manufacturing charge range on Naval Station Rota, Spain, Sept. 24, 2019. The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize the incoming explosive ordnance disposal technician team with range protocols and to sustain their expeditious, capable, and effective teams. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
