190923-M-EC058-2245 INDIAN OCEAN (Sept. 23, 2019) U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Corey Flodstrom, the motor transportation maintenance chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), fires an M249 light machine gun during a live-fire range aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). The Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
