ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 27, 2019) Commodore Mike Utley, OBE Royal Navy, Queen Elizabeth Carrier Strike Group, Capt. Steve Moorhouse, OBE Royal Navy, HMS Queen Elizabeth, Capt. Kyle Higgins, commanding officer of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) and Sailors assigned to Ike, observe as an F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to the "Gunslingers" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 105, lands on the flight deck. Utley and Moorhouse visited Ike Sept. 27. Ike, with embarked Carrier Air Wing 3, is underway conducting the Tailored Ship's Training Availability (TSTA) and Final Evaluation Problem (FEP) as part of the basic phase of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan.
