Petty Officer 3rd Class Cole Perkins, an avionics electrical technician from Aviation Training Center Mobile stands in front of a HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane, September 23, 2019. Perkins was an integral part of a successful search and rescue case involving a distressed mariner who was contemplating suicide. Due to the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop he took, Perkins was able to talk a mariner down and get him the help he needed.
