Lt. Col. Russell Vanderlugt, incoming commander of the 601st Aviation Support Battalion (ASB), 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, addresses the Soldiers of the 601st ASB at his change of command ceremony, Sept. 27, 2019, Illesheim, Germany. Vanderlugt is a Distinguished Military Graduate of Wheaton College and commissioned in 2000 as an Aviation Officer. The 601st ASB has been on rotation in Illesheim, Germany, in support of Atlantic Resolve since January 2019 and will be returning to Ft. Riley, Kansas mid October.
