Members of the Miami Valley Dance Center's competition dance team cheer on runners during the 23rd running of the U.S. Air Force Marathon as they make their way through the Fairborn Skyzone and on to the finish line at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Sept. 21, 2019. The dance team is based in Fairborn. This year's races attracted more than 12,700 runners representing all 50 states and 15 foreign countries. More than 2,600 volunteers came together to help out at the various events throughout the weekend. The marathon's race courses span through the adjacent towns around Wright-Patt and serve to celebrate the birthday and the history of the U.S. Air Force in the birthplace of aviation..
