Sgt. Maj. Matakiah Fogle Jr., the outgoing garrison sergeant major of Mihail Kogalniceau Air Base in Romania, receives the Meritorious Service Medal from Col. Steven Pierce, the commander of U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach, before his change of responsibility ceremony on Oct. 3, 2019. During the ceremony, Fogle transferred the duties and responsibilities of the garrison to incoming Sgt. Maj. Gary J. Williams.
