ODENTON, Md. — 1st Lt. Richard Shmel, a cyber operations officer assigned to the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade (Cyber), was the mentor for the Cracking Perimeter station at a ‘Hackathon’ event at the Odenton Regional Library on October 8. He showed how wireless networks can be insecure and why modern wireless practices use WPA2 for security.
