USNS Comfort Sailors Conduct Rescue Swimmer Training in St. Kitts and Nevis

U.S. Navy Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Brandon Palmer, attached to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), acts as an unconscious survivor during a rescue swimmer subject matter expert exchange with personnel from the National Emergency Management Association in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Oct. 9, 2019. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems, including those strained by an increase in cross-border migrants.
