U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Daniel Pacheco, an MV-22B Osprey crew chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, engages targets with a GAU-21 .50-caliber machine gun while conducting a tail gunnery certification during Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 1-20 in Shade Tree, California, Oct. 8, 2019. WTI is a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1), which emphasizes operational integration of the six functions of Marine Corps aviation in support of a Marine Air Ground Task Force.
